Qi Lan is a relative mild Wuyi Oolong tea with floral fragrance and a plum like finish in the back of tongue. Qi Lan simply means "Rare Orcide" in Chinese, obviously named after its un-usual orchide like fragrance. 

You can store this particular Qilan in rooms temperature, sealed air tight in more then 3 year, hence this particular Qi Lan is well fermented and well roasted to acchive the classic style of flavor. The flavors of lighter roasted Wuyi Yan Cha will be less appealing in time, while our Qilan become smoother and fruitier.

In the tea world, the first thing to understand is that all the teas, Black, Green or Oolong, are made from the tender shoots of the Tea plant, Camellia sinensis. Here the differences in each tea, are created by the way it is manufactured. So when it comes to oolong tea, the tea is called “Semi-fermented” or in simple terms, its processing is in between of Black tea and Green tea.

My first time in Wuyi Shan

This is my first time visiting Wuyi Shan.  My friend picked me up from East train station which is new station for  the speed train. From there we traveled half an hours to San Gu, a  tourist town next to the nation park of Wuyi Shan. On the way to San Gu I  could see the peak of "Da Wang Feng" in distance on the left side of  the road, it looks more like as a gigantic rock rather then a mountain.
