High mountain tikuanyin has the velvety smooth clean taste and a typical floral fragrance of high grade tikuanyin. It is a semi-fermented tea which retains all of the nutrients and natural healing factors contained in unfermented green tea, but without the "raw" grassy taste and harsh impact on the stomach that make green tea disagreeable to some people.

So when it comes to oolong tea, the tea is called “Semi-fermented” or in simple terms, its processing is in between of Black tea and Green tea.
